HAYDEN, Idaho — The Hayden City Council unanimously approved its Oct. 27 consent calendar, including meeting minutes, city payments, a right-of-way easement and an agreement for sewer-line installation at the city’s Public Works facility.
Payments approved
The council ratified two previously issued payments totaling $38,223:
$12,369 to Fox Trailers Inc.
$25,854 to Vermeer Mountain West Inc.
During discussion, Councilmember Tom Shafer requested clarification about the payments. City Administrator Lisa Ailport explained that certain equipment purchases are paid when the city takes ownership, requiring subsequent council ratification. She identified the Vermeer purchase as a wood chipper.
The council also approved an invoice register totaling $211,886.01, net of credits. The register included operating expenses, equipment and maintenance costs, professional services and capital project expenditures.
The largest fund allocation was $121,393.29 from the Major Capital Projects Fund.
Right-of-way easement accepted
Council accepted a grant of easement from Richard Bingham associated with a residential building permit at 235 E. Hayden Ave.
According to the city engineer’s memorandum, the easement satisfies a site-development requirement under Hayden City Code 11-4-7(c).
The grant provides the city with right-of-way access for public purposes, including sidewalks, utilities, stormwater infrastructure and related improvements.
The memorandum identified no fiscal impact from accepting the easement.
Public Works sewer connection
Council approved an agreement with Buddy’s Backhoe Service Inc. for up to $11,600 to connect the city’s Public Works facility on Ramsey Road to the municipal sewer system.
The facility currently uses a septic system. The work is included in the FY2027 budget, with completion scheduled by Nov. 20, 2026.
Meeting minutes
Council also approved minutes from three previous meetings:
Sept. 29, 2026, special City Council meeting
Oct. 13, 2026, special City Council meeting
